Julianna Posey

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering

UMBC (Expected Graduation: May 2019)

NOAA CESSRST Fellow

Research Interests: Air Quality, Aerosol and Particulate Matter Instrumentation, Remote Sensing

In February of 2018, Julianna joined the Atmospheric Lidar Group, and began exploring the implementation of commercial ceilometers in gathering atmospheric aerosol backscatter and mixing layer height data. Recently, she shifted her focus to the use of nephelometers to study the dependence of humidity on the optical and physical properties of aerosols and particles matter.
